WHY YOU COULD USE A 4K TV INSTEAD OF A COMPUTER MONITOR

*DISCLAIMER - IN THE VIDEO I NEVER SAID THAT THIS IS THE PERFECT ALTERNATIVE TO A MONITOR, I JUST WANTED TO PROVE IT WAS POSSIBLE IN THE FIRST PLACE* These are my results of trying out a TV as a computer monitor. I hope you liked the video, i put a lot of work to it! twitter: https://twitter.com/stargaitanis

  1. I don't understand why some of the comments have so much hate in them he is only giving his opinion on how it looks and saving people money what the hell is wrong with that not everyone is FKing nerds to notice every little detail on the screen and not all of us can afford to just go out and put down a grand for a monitor this video is refreshing and helping people enjoy what they otherwise can't afford ..
  2. so why did we need to watch you get up and make coffee?
  3. Using a 4K Samsung 40 inch curved screen tv here as a monitor. It has full range rgb and Ycbcr 4:4:4 so you get the same clarity as on a monitor. Refresh rate is 60hz, the 700hz the guy in the video mentions is marketing nonsense. All 40 inch displays are 60hz. Input lag is around 21ms, which is great for a tv and just above the 16ms you get anyway with a 60hz display.

The tv i use is a UE40KU6179 costs around 500 Euro inclusive 19% sales. You can get the flat version of this tv for around 70 euro less. So its not dead cheap but a nice alternative if you want a really BIG screen for your pc.
  4. I've been using a TV for a computer monitor at work for the better part of a DECADE, started with a 32" 720p POLAROID, then 2 40" LCD 1080p Samsungs and now an LG 40" LED 1080p, the thing is they aren't very sharp when it comes to reading things and the problem when you go to 4k is you have to do A LOT OF RESEARCH, many many 4k TV's have HORRIBLE HORRIBLE INPUT LAG which causes a very noticeable delay between when you move your mouse and when the cursor moves on the screen, when you are doing work that requires PRECISE mouse movements it becomes quite annoying.
  5. curious, why cant input lag between monitors and tvs be compared?
  6. Nice vid
  7. Here you are, retards; watch and learn before parroting other retards.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNH--2g5Jwc

  9. showman!
  10. He cannot even say a whole sentence? Editing this video must be a pain in the ass.
  11. Can THIS TV do 4:4:4 CHROMA though?
  12. stop copying marzbar
  13. I only have a 2k TV so I decided I am not gonna spend money on a monitor so I will stick to my 180$ tv
  14. I really needed to see this, monitors are fucking twice costly to tv
  15. Wow can you rip off Casey neistat style any more lol. What an unoriginal prick
  16. damn nice thought process of making the vid.. keep it up..
  17. Casey Neistat has clearly been an inspiration. I have been tossing around the idea of switching out my triple wide 1080p setup for a 4K TV instead, somewhere in the 42" to 50" range.
  18. are you Greek?
  19. For what it is, your video style beats the hell out of most. Keep it up.
