Wild SideTV-Alligator Snapping Turtles

Here's a story about an animal that uses its tongue as a lure. It's the alligator snapping turtle, a fearsome-looking animal that you would swear is a throwback to the prehistoric age by its looks. He just sits on the bottom of a river and waits for fish to come by, then wiggles his tongue, which looks like a small worm, to attract them. Wild Side Guide Alan Griggs takes us to west Tennessee to show us how this tough-looking turtle is returning to its natural home. From show 2306.
