ADOPT Or Rescue, DON'T SHOP! You are only encouraging the breeders, (There is less than 10% legit wolfdog breeder) to make money. I cannot stress enough how heartbreaking the sad truth is. Too many people impulse buy wolf dogs because of how beautiful, majestic, exotics they are/look like. Then you have others who need to boost their ego. Or some buy theses misunderstood animals simply for media gratification, but the sad truth is, the animals spend 100% of their time in a 20X40 enclosure outside with little interaction with humans, dogs, people, places. A life stuck in an enclosure is cruel and unfair to these magnificent beautiful creatures. They deserve the absolute best. If you can't provide a lifetime commitment, then this is not the animal for you. If you are interested in a wolf dog, adopt one because you have the time and energy, not solely because they are cute or funny etc. That is not a good enough reason. Wolf Dogs like many other animals are a LIFETIME commitment. They can live up to 20+ years depending on the content. I've given up many things to give Khuno the best life he can possibly have, made many sacrifices! (Night out, gone on weekends, vacation time, a clean quiet house, extra money.. Etc.) These animals are highly intelligent, meaning they get bored easy, thus the need to escape. They are very social animals as well and need more than 15 minutes interaction with their human, a day. A lot of them end up being starved to death, chained, abused, because they become problematic animals as their owners start neglecting them because of their wild behavior and needs, compared to a dog. But it's all worth it to me, my wolfdog is my family and I love him like my kid. Please DO YOUR RESEARCH before adopting/rescuing. After all, we have our friends, our jobs, and our hobbies...
