World Class Wreckin Cru ft. Dr. Dre - Surgery (dJ dAb Overdub) 1984 Live Performance

Extremely rare video of World Class Wreckin Cru perfoming Surgery live. Great Old School Electro Hip-Hop track from 1984. Thanks to westcoastpioneer for the original youtube clip!!! Video edit and overdub by dJ dAb at Solid Rate Studios. WIKI: The World Class Wreckin' Cru was a 1980s Electro-hop group from Compton, California formed by the Eve After Dark nightclub owner and established DJ Alonzo Williams. Other members of the fluctuating lineup included DJ Yella, Dr. Dre, Shakespeare, and Cli-N-Tel. Dr. Dre and DJ Yella would go on to achieve fame as members of N.W.A.. Fila Fresh Crew's Dr. Rock was also an early member of the World Class Wreckin' Cru. I give full credit to the artists and songs used in this video. I do not claim any of the material to be my own. Posted for entertainment and educational purposes. I do not intend to make any profit off of the video. 1984 Kru-Cut Records

  1. Well, good to know Dre wasn't a real gangsta when he joined NWA.
  2. I love NWA and Dr Dre but this shit right here, is fucking horrible.
  3. You idiots in the comments don't know what you are taking about. They are wearing costumes for their stage act. People actually took the time to give you a visual show along with the music back in the days. They didn't wear that bs everyday. So I assume you all think Beyonce walks around in panties and bras everyday like she does when she performs right lol
  4. very "G" very, very "G"...

    GAY
  5. Eazy e I miss you
  6. For a poor 12 year old kid that seemed to find more of the bad than the good in life, this early West Coast hip hop was the coolest thing any of us could actually get, or see or feel or live. I had one single pair of pants in those days, and my friends and I all swapped pants somewhat regularly so we didn't have to wear the same thing every day, and I can still remember Paul's coveted zip-downs. This was a couple of years before parachute pants, but basically any chances we ever had of getting female attention was obviously threadbare, but if you could break or "pop" (as we called it in Fresno) or "hit," you also had something to catch a girl's eye, something you could speak to and feel confident in, and feel proud of, and those qualities could then come out in our male-female interactions. This was not a sport that required money, gear, and a car, it had no rules and so creativity abounded. In fact, moves, music, and graffiti styles got "old" or "played out" in sometimes a matter of days! Just look at the graffiti art aspect of hip hop and how it's still growing and maturing. I was there when it started, I "own" a little piece of hip hop myself, it's rightful place is right here in my heart, and those confidence-building dances, and (I admit) those somewhat ridiculous clothes we wore, those really helped me get through some difficult times.
