Comments

  1. different deadlifts, different records...
  2. wooah! great..... incredible power....
  3. Tom Magee actually holds the record for maximum weight with 1,180lbs in 1983. For deadlift (the exercise) it's Tom Magee until Zydrunas goes higher. However, if you go with the IPF or strict rules of powerlifting then it's what's done on a regular bar and plates that you'd find at any good gym and Eddie Hall is the record holder.
  4. both are records. depends on which type you like to see.
  5. these 2 guys ain't got nothing on a man named Tower Crane who once lifted 19 metric tons.
  6. Eddie Hall as he has the full weight from the start of the lift.... the tire deadlift bar has more flex so allows much more movement before the lifter has the full weight....these 2 lifts shouldn't really be compared as it's not like with like.
  7. I'm gonna go with Eddie coz not only his bar is closer to the ground(greater range of motion than the hummer tyre), but ge did it BELTLESS!! Whata atrue badass
  8. Eddi Hall, la altura de la barra es menor, y los discos y distancia de los mismos son los más parecidos a los oficiales. Aunque sin duda hay que reconocer que Savickas es una bestia y habría que verlos a los dos en totales.
  9. I love Savickas !
  10. Best deadlift Eddie hall tires is 1111 pounds/505kg in 2015 years and hard...
Best deadlift Žydrūnas Savickas 1155 pounds in 2014 years and look so easy. He say when nigth sleeping  4 hours. He can 1188pound/540kg 2014.(world record 524kg)
Big z strongest, but Eddie hall has raw deadlift world record undoubedly. To day big z has bach problem, he got when walk 680kg arnold clasicc 2015 and finished problem. I daresay next year he deadlift ~1200 pounds, he can.
  11. Hall
  12. I think Dr Nun Amen Ra should. He's better than those two
  13. Both were amazing feats of strength, but as with many feats of strength they are not always official. Was Eddie's an official competition lift? If not, awesome lift, but guess what? A lot of guys would hold the record if we counted the best they ever did in training, etc. I don't care how many people witnessed it or whatever, the world record needs to be in recognized competition and not just exhibition or training. It is impressive and should be noted as with a lot of other nonlegit lifts which should go down in history just not as an official record. Big Z's lift was a truly impressive feat, but in all reality he couldn't have expected lifting tires on a platform to set any legit record aside from impressive poundage. Unless we are going to start lifting tires in competition it only proved what an incredible, powerful man Big Z is not set a record that can be competed against. That is also an integral part of it, if you can't compete against it using standard rules not legit. If you said, heaviest deadlift noncompetition using standard bar and plates Ed would win and if you removed bar and plate limitations Big Z would get it. Of course, nonconventional has all kinds of problems unless everyone is going to start lifting tires with fat bars on a platform as the example of the heaviest.

So final verdict for me is both get a huge notation in history, but Big Z does not have a world record and unless Eddie's was under legit conditions an exhibition, etc. still doesn't count as a world record. If he met proper criteria congratulations on a world record and if not still congratulations, but not in the book. Big Z did one hell of a strongman feat though. Just don't let them put your record in the Guinness Book next to a guy jerking off thirty times in a day.
  14. Benedikt's lift at 1015 without straps is the true legitimate world record for deadlift. While Eddie an Zavickas both have impressive lifts neither count according to actual powerlifter rules.
  15. eddie hall
  16. It's eddie hall, his is the standard deadlift.  Big Z's tire deadlift is amazing but when you look right as all the weight comes off the ground the bar is already past his knees and all he has to do is lock it out.  The tire deadlift just has to much flex to it, it still is an amazing lift but Eddie Hall's is better. Benni Mag's 1015 raw deadlift should be the actually record deadlift, he did it with no straps and no hitching.
  17. Tire deadlift and regular dead lift are not considered the same exercise and shouldn't be compared. This vid is just going to confuse people!

Benedikt Magnusson has the power lifting record. (No straps, No hitching)

Eddie Hall has the strongman record. (Straps and Hitching allowed)

Big Z has the tire deadlift record.

Three different things, three different records.
  18. Benni cause he didn't use straps and still pulled over 1000 raw.
  19. I'm going to go with Eddie Hall. The plates he uses are a lot closer to the pivot and so have a smaller moment, making it more difficult as he has to lift the weight from the get-go. With the tire deadlift, the bar may be thicker, but the extra moment keeps the tires on the floor for the first portion meaning he only has to really lock out the weight and not expend as much energy at the beginning. But, they are both incredible feats of strength and can both be records just for different movements.
  20. I think it's big z! I'm not an expert but the thicker bar, the deficit, plus the heavier weight makes it the greater achievement
