Even the present winning time for the women's 400 metres at the Rio Olympics set by Shaunae Miller of the Bahamas stands at 49.44s. That's a staggering 1.5 seconds behind Kratochvilova!

Check out where the American record holder finished. She was crushed. Wow! Those eastern block horse pills go a long way. Typically well muscled athletes will start fast and then need to hold on down the finishing stretch as they become anaerobic - but not when the horse pills are doing their thing. Disgraceful. Though it is not really fair to blame the athletes, they were just doing what management told them to do. If they refused their careers would end right there. They were probably told it was their vitamin regimen. Russia until recently has been doing the same thing - only today's drugs are more subtle than those used by the East German swimmers etc. that led to so many illnesses and early deaths. Today doped women still look like women.
