Such a beautiful fish. My hope and best wishes to you Americans that live far south enough to still catch alligator Gar. I'd cross the boarder just to come catch and release one. My hopes go out to you and the gar itself because some idiot down there can't decide if snakeheads need to be killed or not. The snake head gets further north every year and I can assure you ain't no tree huggers going to get their way when that fish crosses the boarder. All because some idiot from Asia wanted to save his sorry ass some money and not fly to Asia to catch a snake head where it belongs. Tear one apart And it's all fluffy inside. I call them bullrushes. Asian cormorant ducks that for some reason can't be killed at all. They eat all the fish and their shit is so acidic it kills our trees. Lakes that use to have beautiful and lush ancient trees just dead and desolate after they roll through. When is enough, enough?

Many down here in Texas would throw gar on the banks because they are trash fish may or may not be the same as in other states.
