  1. All you'd have to do is download a mod and Bam you have control over it...
  2. if they threw a ballistic parachute in the event of the flight computer crashing, it could come down safe without a pilot
  3. DJI should work on this
  4. propeller looks dangerous.
  5. Its coming to dubai first.
  6. how much weight can the drone carry ???? 😕
  7. If there is a place for a passenger then its not a drone. It's just a multi rotor aircraft...
  8. Battery technology improvement is needed. I'd expect at least a couple of hours of capacity, few hundred km range for this to be worthwhile. As for safety, it is inherently safer than any road car by virtue of not having to contend with other .human drivers near it. Keep air traffic automated, keep it safe.

For now, the prospect of being able to have a hyper fast shuttle service in major cities, is a cool one. A 20 min battery life is enough for that. Imagine being able to skip traffic and get to work in 10 minutes, instead of driving to work for 1-2 hours or screwing around on public transport for 40 minutes.
  9. Isn't that a hellecopter
  10. I'm more worried about the blades being at leg level.
  11. Man those flying cars are always 50 years off.
  12. The energydensity of Lithiumbatteries is improved 7% every year. If that continues like this it would lead to a doubling of capacity in 10 years (1.07^10=1.97). That means such a copter could then fly 46 instead of 23 minutes which would greatly increase its usability.
  13. This machine is fascinating. I'd love one.
  14. That's not a drone. It's a helicopter
  15. and how much??
  16. Beats the Autopilot Car
  17. I made up a drone the other day in my mind.
  18. If the FAA had their way the aviation industry would be decades behind the technology of today and engines which run on lead fuel that were built in the 40s and 50s would still be used in modern aircraft. Oh wait... That's already the case.
  19. Volocopter
  20. the Americans are to fat they not gonna fit in this drone
