April 30 (Bloomberg) --- Meet the Airlander. The super blimp has a top speed of 100 miles per hour, can carry 50 tons of equipment and operate in the most extreme weather. Part plane, airship, helicopter, and hovercraft, the U.S. Army spent $300 million to develop Airlander as a floating spy center. Now, a British company is giving the flying machine a new life.   1. Hmmm. What did they do different than the Cargolifter years ago? I wonder how they´ll manage to counter the loss of cargo weight on unloading the fright? This is one of the problems the Cargolifter simply could not solve... But anyway, it´s nice to see really large airships in the skies again. I´ll stay on it....
