WOW: Nearly 4,000 Avondale Students BREAK Guinness World Record for LONGEST High-Five Chain - FNN

Brought to you by Desert Diamond: http://ddcaz.com Avondale Students Attempt to Break GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the Longest High-Five Chain UnitedHealthcare, Playworks and Fiesta Bowl Charities have teamed up to set new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title WHAT: Nearly 4,000 students from the Avondale Elementary School District, volunteers from UnitedHealthcare will attempt to break the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the Longest high-five chain. Students, grades 3 through 8, will create a continuous high-five chain on the field at Avondale Middle School. The high-five is a symbolic nod to Playworks High-Five culture. After the opening ceremonies coaches from Playworks will lead students in a warm up and icebreaker to prepare the students for the World Record attempts. In addition to Playworks, UnitedHealthcare has partnered with Fiesta Bowl Charities to serve as volunteers throughout the event. Once the high-five begins, GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS judges monitor the students to ensure the strict rules are adhered to qualify the students to be world record holders. It will take approximately 90 minutes for the students to complete the high-five chain. Following the last high-five, the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS judge will declare the results of the high-five chain during a closing ceremony. WHY: Fiesta Bowl Charities and UnitedHealthcare's "Do Good. Live Well." volunteer initiative together awarded Playworks of Arizona a $100,000 grant which will allow them to expand their work to 50 schools, serving close to 35,000 students in the next school year. Fiesta Bowl Charities will also donate the 2016 Cactus Bowl playing field to a school in the Valley. Included in the donation, which was made possible by UnitedHealthcare, is installation of the field, a scoreboard and more. To kick off the partnership and the bowl game festivities, Fiesta Bowl Charities, UnitedHealthcare and Playworks are attempting to break the World Record for longest high five chain, in a nod to Playworks "High Five Culture".
