  19. Tonight for probably the millionth time I asked my parents if I could learn to ice skate. Of course there answers were no, you see I'm 14 and I live in Australia (in Victoria) and for the last 11 years I have been asking if I could learn to skate. Because the closest rink is a little over a hour away and I already take violin lessons with my dad, it's hard. Both my parents have always been divorced, they never married. My dad is a little wealthy, we got to go on trips to Bali and Queensland yearly. And of course him and my mum split fifty fifty on violin lessons every Monday which I started just last year. My mum though struggles with money, so much sometimes she has to go without dinner just so me and my 26 year old brother can eat. My brother pays most of the bills and works at a pizza shop. Ive only skated once in my entire life, and it felt like I was flying. Ive also been trying to get to do Ice Skating for 11 years and the answer is always no. But then I'm suddenly aloud to do Violin, teach myself to play piano and go overseas. The things I'm not as interested in and the things that don't mean that much to me, but I'm not aloud to what I've always wanted and what makes me happy.
